As the Senior Accounts Payable Officer, you will be at the heart of our Accounts Payable function, ensuring seamless coordination and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. Your responsibilities will include managing the Accounts Payable process, resolving invoice issues, preparing supplier reconciliations, and handling payment queries.

Key Tasks:

Coordinate and manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Process invoices from suppliers through the AP invoicing system into the ERP.

Resolve issues that may arise with invoices within the scan and capture system.

Prepare supplier reconciliations on a regular basis.

Resolve queries and requests for payment from stakeholders.

Prepare EFT payment runs from the ERP system as required.

Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the supplier master file in the ERP and AP Invoicing system.

 

Attributes Necessary for Success in the Role:

Minimum 4 years' experience in an automated Accounts Payable environment.

Supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications in business, commerce, or finance desired.

Strong experience and knowledge of Accounts Payable systems and processes.

Exposure to Converga/Palette and eftsure advantageous.

Familiarity with high-volume inbox/Outlook management.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work to tight deadlines in an organized manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong stakeholder management skills.

Positive, flexible approach to work.

Confidence to make decisions and work autonomously.

Willingness to work in a hands-on manner.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday with occasional evening/weekend work.

Flexible hours within core business hours of 8 am – 6 pm.

Flexible working arrangements available, with a requirement to be in the office 7 business days every fortnight.
