We are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Finance team at Australian Venue Co.

What will you be doing?

  • Process employee data and pay runs accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies for up to 6,000 team members.
  • Set up new starters, process variations, transfers, and ensure accurate termination processing, including leave and final pays.
  • Manage time and attendance data, addressing exceptions and issues as needed.
  • Handle pay run components such as tips, shift penalties, bonuses, leave cash outs, and government/company parental leave payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service, resolving payroll-related queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance by following approved standard procedures, maintaining data accuracy, and generating reports as required.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a payroll role (high-volume environment).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Experience with MicrOpay Meridian or similar payroll software.
  • Familiarity with Human Force time and attendance software (desirable but not essential).
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
