A rare and exciting opportunity has opened to join our Victorian Operations team as an Area Manager, based in Melbourne — one of the most diverse, vibrant, and innovative hospitality markets in the country.

From buzzing neighbourhood locals and cocktail bars to riverside venues, a pub in the snowfields, culturally iconic pubs known nationwide, and our CBD venues that thrive when the footy’s on — no two days are ever the same in this patch, and that’s exactly how we like it.

We’re looking for a champion food and beverage operator ready to scale their impact — someone who can lead a portfolio of venues by developing high-performing teams, executing bespoke customer service strategies, leveraging data tools for maximum impact, and driving some of Australia’s most innovative sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to boost sales and EBITDA in venues.
  • Collaborate with venue teams to enhance the guest experience.
  • Introduce innovative promotions, activations, and entertainment to increase patron volume and visitation.
  • Manage and lead a portfolio of venues to achieve operational targets.
  • Inspire and guide both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to improve food quality and customer service.
  • Drive the execution of fun experiences and promotions for patrons.
  • Utilize performance/data analysis skills to inform decision-making.
  • Adapt communication styles to suit various situations.
  • Foster an engaged team culture through trust, respect, effective communication, and setting high expectations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years direct pub/bar experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a General Manager or multi-venue role
  • Proficiency in performance/data analysis preferred
  • Demonstrated history of improving sales and EBITDA results
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for driving positive change.
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple venues simultaneously.
  • An enthusiastic approach to training and mentoring hospitality talent within your team
  • Proven ability to inspire and guide teams to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Experience in creating and implementing promotions and activations.
