About Us

At Australian Venue Co., we’re redefining the hospitality experience through creativity, technology, and media innovation. Our Retail Media division connects leading alcohol brands — and soon, non-endemic brands — with millions of consumers across 200+ venues nationwide. We blend real-world experiences with innovative retail media strategies to influence purchase decisions at the point of consumption.

We’re growing fast and looking for an action-orientated Account Manager to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview

As a Retail Media Account Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of key supplier accounts, drive revenue growth, and bring campaigns to life across our national venue network.

This is a hands-on, highly visible role — you’ll work directly with suppliers, internal teams, and venues to deliver innovative campaigns that drive both brand outcomes and venue engagement.

If you’re relationship-driven, commercially savvy, and excited about blending customer marketing with media innovation — this is your next big move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of major supplier accounts, supporting joint business plans and delivering quarterly business reviews.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and convert new wallet opportunities through upselling, cross-selling, and innovative packaging.
  • Campaign Execution: Build proposals, traffic campaigns internally, and manage end-to-end delivery including briefing creative, venue activation, and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams — venue managers, media planners, creative ops — to ensure campaign success.
  • Reporting and Insights: Analyse and report campaign performance, providing clients with actionable insights that drive renewals.
  • Innovation: Help develop new product ideas, media formats, and cross-platform opportunities that excite clients and deliver measurable impact.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of annual revenue targets.
  • Wallet spend growth across managed accounts.
  • Client satisfaction (NPS or equivalent).
  • Campaign profitability and repeat campaign rate.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in account management, partnerships, retail marketing, or media sales.
  • Strong understanding of retail media, customer marketing, or trade marketing — preferably within alcohol, FMCG, or hospitality.
  • Proven experience managing and growing key client relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, confident handling budgets and margins.
  • Experience building integrated proposals combining media, events, sponsorships, and on-premise activations.
  • Highly organised and capable of handling multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Excel, CRM platforms, and marketing reporting tools.
  • Understanding of digital platforms (Meta, Google, programmatic) is a plus.

Personal Attributes

  • Natural relationship builder — you pick up the phone, not just send emails.
  • Hands-on do-er — comfortable creating decks, briefing teams, managing execution, and reporting results.
  • Proactive and self-starting with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Confident presenting to senior executives and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Energetic, commercially driven, and passionate about hospitality and brands.

Why Join Us

  • Real Impact: Manage key supplier relationships in Australia's largest on-premise retail media network.
  • Culture of Action: We're do-ers — ideas are encouraged, action is celebrated.
  • Career Growth: Build your career at the intersection of media, customer marketing, and hospitality.
  • Creative Environment: Work in a team where innovation is welcomed and ambition is supported.
  • Venue Connection: Spend time in the venues you represent — understand the consumer journey firsthand.
