Are you a commercially minded and experienced retail media professional looking for an opportunity to help operationalise one of Australia’s most exciting new retail media networks?  

We are seeking a collaborative and dynamic Senior Retail Media leader with campaign development, campaign execution, advertising sales and negotiation experience. The role calls for someone skilled in navigating complex market dynamics and driving innovative solutions.  

 

The role 

In your role, you will be responsible for overseeing the establishment and growth of AVC’s Retail Media Network across AVC’s extensive venue and digital universe. This will include engaging advertisers, overseeing the development and dispatch of campaigns, managing retail media operations and accountability for the Retail Media P&L including revenue targets, and profit outcomes.  

You will be accountable for the relationships with all endemic advertisers and non-endemic advertisers and media agencies, and will oversee campaigns across onsite, offsite, and in-venue channels, including digital ordering platforms (The Pass app and me&u).  

 

Some of your responsibilities  

  • Ensure delivery of AVC’s retail media revenue commitments and growth targets. 
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand AVC’s retail media presence in Australia by identifying new growth opportunities and driving revenue.  
  • Lead your team in developing engaging retail media proposals for endemic and non-endemic advertisers. 
  • Foster connections with endemic advertisers to demonstrate the inherent value of the AVC retail media network. 
  • Identify and engage non-endemic advertisers and media agencies in the AVC retail media network, opportunities, and partnerships. 
  • Understand advertiser’s holistic media strategies and channel plans to ensure that the recommended AVC retail media channel solutions align seamlessly with overarching objectives. 
  • Ensure seamless implementation and delivery of retail media campaigns across onsite, offsite, and in-venue channels. 
  • Lead the effective utilisation of technology and tools available, including via the retail media network technology partner / platform.  
  • Leverage first-party data to optimise and maximise effectiveness of advertisers. 

 

Requirements 

  • Understanding of Retail Media Network market demand and capabilities, audience targeting, and media activation strategies. 
  • Strong first party data understanding. 
  • Strong negotiation skills, ability to secure favourable agreements and adapt negotiation strategies. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. 
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive business growth and improve campaign performance. 
  • Knowledge of the retail industry and consumer behaviour trends.
