Join a dynamic and rapidly growing hospitality group, Australian Venue Co, dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences across multiple venues. We are seeking a skilled IT Services Engineer / IT Support to join our team in Waterford, QLD, and provide on-site and remote support to our venues nationwide.

As an IT Services Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting our venue-based and head office IT systems. You'll collaborate with a fast-moving and flexible IT support team to ensure seamless operations across the business. This role offers opportunities for project involvement and the chance to contribute to various initiatives within the organization.

 

The Role

  • Install and maintain venue-based and head office IT systems.
  • Provide in-person and remote support to all users, adhering to Australian Venue Co's technology standards.
  • Coordinate local and remote support contractors.
  • Support LAN/WAN/Wireless environments.
  • Perform hands-on and remote installation of network and IT hardware.
  • Participate in project work as required.
  • Travel locally, interstate, and occasionally to New Zealand.
  • Participate in the on-call roster to provide 24x7 support.
  • Manage IT hardware pool, including ordering, shipping, logistics, and tracking.
  • Ensure venues are online and trading at capacity by providing dedicated support.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a desktop support role or similar.
  • Ability to manage own time and workload, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in resolving various IT issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 usage and administration.
  • Understanding of Active Directory Security and Standards.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Azure Security and management.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) principles.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi principles.
  • Experience working within an IT helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple support vendors.
  • Prior experience with Point-of-Sale systems, preferably H&L, is preferred.
