As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will be at the heart of our Accounts Payable function, ensuring seamless coordination and fostering strong stakeholder relationships. Your responsibilities will include managing the Accounts Payable process, resolving invoice issues, preparing supplier reconciliations, and handling payment queries.

Key Tasks:

  • Processing invoices from suppliers through the AP invoicing system into the ERP
  • Resolving issues that may arise with invoices within the scan and capture system.
  • Preparing supplier reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Resolving queries and requests for payment from stakeholders
  • Preparing EFT payment runs from the ERP system as and when required so they are ready to be paid.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the supplier master file in the ERP and AP Invoicing system

 

Attributes Necessary for Success in the Role:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable (or similar) role
  • Qualifications in business, commerce, and finance desired
  • Strong experience in and knowledge of Accounts Payable systems and processes
  • Familiarity with high-volume inbox / Outlook management
  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills (especially Excel)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate and resolve queries and variances
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and operate in an effective organized manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Positive and flexible approach to work
  • Confidence to make decisions and work autonomously
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on manner

 

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday with occasional evening/weekend work.
  • Flexible hours within core business hours of 8 am – 6 pm.
  • Flexible working arrangements available, with a requirement to be in the office 7 business days every fortnight.
