Are you a hands-on chef who loves the classics and thrives in a solo or small team environment? Cleveland Tavern, a much-loved local, is searching for a Head Chef to take the reins and run the kitchen with pride and ownership.

The Role:

  • Running solo across multiple days
  • Leading the team during busier services with a second chef on deck
  • Delivering a consistent, high-quality pub menu
  • Supporting regular weekend functions – the venue is function-heavy and bookings are strong
  • Creating weekly specials and taking real ownership of the food offering

You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years' experience as a Sous Chef or higher
  • The ability to work independently and lead by example
  • Menu costing expertise with a focus on wastage control
  • Strong understanding of rostering, cost control, and stock management
  • Confidence on the tools – you're still on the pans
  • A passion for hearty pub food and clean, efficient kitchens
  • A compliance-driven approach with a focus on food safety and quality
  • Reliability, initiative, and a great work ethic
