The Strand Hotel Yeppoon is looking for a new Assistant Venue Manager to join the management team as we get ready for another amazing Summer in Yeppoon. We have been part of the Yeppoon landscape for over 60 years, and it's easy to see why! we are a team that is dedicated to the community & delivering customer service with a smile. The successful candidate must have proven hospitality management experience in a comparable venue and exceptional customer service and presentation skills. The successful candidate must have a strong compliance focus, along with a passion for the industry and commitment to a successful career in hospitality.

Essential requirements:

  • 2+ years in a management role in a similar venue
  • Experience working in a gaming venue 
  • Strong Food & Beverage knowledge 
  • Understanding and ability to learn venue reporting and systems on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including late nights and weekends
  • Ability to stocktake and investigate the stock loss
  • Train, performance manage, and motivate staff
  • Work with and communicate effectively within a team
  • Experience with H&L, Ivy & Seven rooms desirable 
  • RLMV & Approved Managers License
