We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Woodpeckers Tavern – a local favourite in Burpengary known for its friendly atmosphere, hearty pub fare, and great service. With a strong community following and a loyal local crowd, this is the perfect role for a chef who loves putting their stamp on a menu and driving a positive kitchen culture.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and inspire a small, hands-on kitchen team
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, food quality, and consistency
  • Manage stock control, rostering, and cost of goods
  • Create and deliver seasonal menus that excite locals and attract new guests
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous ready to step up
  • A passion for fresh, approachable pub-style food
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to manage food costs and drive kitchen performance
