The Village Belle Hotel is a true St Kilda icon. Established in 1891 and lovingly restored, it’s now a vibrant, contemporary venue that brings together the best of the old and new — from its heritage charm to its sleek, modern spaces. With a restaurant, public bar, cocktail lounge, and all-seasons beer garden spread across two levels, the Village Belle is built for every occasion.

We’re looking for an experienced Venue Manager to take the reins and lead our team. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the venue, driving excellence in service, performance, and culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for hospitality, and knows how to inspire and deliver unforgettable experiences.

Essential Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Venue Management experience
  • A hands-on, visible leader who thrives on the floor – especially during peak service, weekends, and sporting events
  • Strong understanding of P&Ls and ability to deep-dive into venue performance
  • Ability to implement innovative, revenue-driving ideas across food, beverage, and entertainment
  • Experience writing efficient rosters, managing labour costs, and investigating stock variances
  • Familiarity with venue systems and reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Proven success executing venue promotions and adapting to local market trends
  • Strong communication and collaboration with Central Support and key stakeholders
