Ferry Road Tavern offers only the best when it comes to racing, punting, sporting, and gaming. Located in the heart of Southport on the Gold Coast this great local tavern is the perfect training ground for an aspiring venue manager. 

As an Assistant Venue Manager with AVC, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, working alongside the Venue Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the venue.

The successful candidate must be a strong leader with good communication skills who is comfortable leading and inspiring the team.

Essential requirements:

  • 2+ years in an Assistant Venue Manager role
  • Strong experience working in a gaming venue 
  • Strong experience working with TAB  
  • Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including late nights and weekends
  • Ability to stock take and investigate the stock loss
  • Order and maintain par levels within the beverage department, food department, and venue consumables
  • Train, performance manage, and motivate staff
  • RLMV & Approved Managers License
