The Australian Venue Co. family are looking for a hands-on, personable Venue Manager to join the team and work in one of our reputable Auckland venues, Dr Rudi's
Dr Rudi’s is perched on the 3rd level overlooking Auckland's Viaduct Harbour & perhaps the best rooftop spot in the world for brewing, drinking, eating & socialising. Fully equipped with its own onsite brewery pumping out 1000L of award winning beers. Dr Rudi’s even has two bowling lanes out back as a free experience to have a few beers and bowl a few games with friends.

Thrives under pressure
Hands on management of the venue including day to day operations
Maintaining and exceeding overall minimum standards
Training and development of staff to ensure a consistently amazing customer experience
Ensuring policies, procedures and standards are current, effective and clearly communicated
Understanding and ability of venue reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Basic P&L understanding
Write and control an effective roster
Ability to stocktake and investigate stock loss
Order and maintain par levels within beverage department, food department and venue consumables
Train, performance manage, and motivate other managers as well as all staff throughout the business
Recruit and induct new staff members into the business
Work with and communicate effectively to all departments within the Head Office team
Provide revenue generating ideas and work with the Venue Manager to drive the business
Assist in executing marketing promotions
Acquire and manage functions, private parties, and bookings
Generate new clientele and sell function spaces
Assist clients in the planning and execution of their events
Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office: including Word and Excel
Ability to troubleshoot and work with IT department
